In den 1920er Jahren war Nürnberg das Zentrum der Zweiradindustrie. Darunter auch die Velozipedfabrik Hercules, besser bekannt unter dem Namen Hercules Werke. Das Unternehmen stellte von 1886 bis 1928 hauptsächlich Fahrräder her. Erst in den darauffolgenden Jahren wurde die Produktion auf Mopeds, Mofas und Mokicks bis 200 ccm³ umgestellt.
Mit dem Kabeldurchführungsgummi wird verhindert, dass Fremdkörper am Ausgang der Lichtmaschinenkabel in den Motor gelangen können. Der Gummi hat zwei Löcher durch die, die Kabel gezogen werden können.
