BESCHREIBUNG:
Unterbrecherkontakte unterliegen bauartbedingt einem hohen Verschleiß, da durch die starken Ströme der Zündung die Kontakte abbrennen.
Ist der Kontaktbrand weit genug fortgeschritten, kann dies zu einer verzögerten Zündung oder sogar zu Aussetzern führen.
Bei einer Unterbrecherzündung entstehen hohe Ströme, die am Zündkontakt zum sogenannten Kontaktbrand führen. Diese Art von Verschleiß beeinträchtigt mit der Zeit die Funktion der Zündung, was bis zum Ausfall führen kann.
Um diese hohen Ströme zu dämpfen und so den Verschleiß gering zu halten, werden Zündkondensatoren verbaut.
