DESCRIPTION:
In 1886/87 Carl Marschütz and his brother founded the "Nuremberg Velocipede Factory Hercules". The production was initially designed for bicycles. From 1928 the production of motorcycles was profitable again and Hercules produced light motorcycles up to 200 cm³. When the production of motors started at Fichtel & Sachs in Schweinfurt in 1930, they were immediately used by Hercules.
The Hercules Prima was a moped series of the Nuremberg Hercules factories and was built until 2005. The vehicles were assembled from parts produced in-house as well as from purchased components. In addition to the basic model, the Prima (1), another six models were produced. These differ mainly in the engine type and various equipment variants. Derived from the Hercules Prima series, the moped series "Optima" was created. These are technically identical to the Prima 5S and basically only differ in the engine.
