The Hercules factories belonged to the Nuremberg motorcycle industry in the 1920s. The company, founded by Carl Marschütz, grew rapidly and established itself in the market. In the production of light motorcycles up to 200 ccm³, foreign motors have been used since the company was founded. The company mainly relied on Fichtel & Sachs engines built in Schweinfurt.
Here you can find a chain tensioner with four bores with diameters of 8 / 11 / 12 / 13 mm. It is suitable for the Hercules models MX1, M2, City Bike and MF1. The chain tensioner ensures that the chain runs evenly and with little vibration. The chain tensioner is mounted on the left rear wheel axle. The chain is tensioned by moving the rear wheel axle.
