Hercules ist wohl jedem Oldtimer-Zweirad-Besitzer ein wohl bekannter Name. Das Unternehmen wurde 1886 von Carl Marschütz gegründet und stellte bis zum Jahr 1928 Fahrräder her. Erst ab 1928 lohnte sich die Herstellung von leichten Motorrädern unter 200 cccm³ wieder. Seit dieser Zeit verwendeten die Hercules-Werke Fremdmotoren von Fichtel & Sachs.

Diese Verschlussplatte ist passend für einen Hercules bzw. Sachs Motor 50/2, 50/3 und 50/4. Sie befestigt den 1/17/68 Vergaser im Motorgehäuse.
