Simply put, ball bearings consist of an outer ring and an inner ring, with balls between them reducing friction. They enable the wheel to rotate smoothly and almost frictionlessly on the axle bolt. The hardened steel surfaces and optimal lubrication between these three main components ensure perfect rolling and thus low rolling friction. These bearings are also sealed on both sides, preventing dirt from penetrating the ball bearing surface. This significantly extends their service life.
