Suitable for Simson models S50, S51, S70 Tuning, sport manifold with a 32 mm diameter, i.e. 4 mm larger than the standard manifold, with a flanged connection (flanging = bending the edge of sheet metal to stiffen the bent edge and thus create a stronger connection). This makes it almost impossible for the manifold connection to tear off. The main purpose is to divert exhaust gases as quickly as possible and prevent them from flowing back into the cylinder. In two-stroke engines, it is a particularly important component, as it helps to create pressure oscillations in the exhaust system, which lead to a so-called recharging effect, which fills the cylinder better and ensures optimal cylinder filling.
