Die Zündapp-Werke GmbH ist 1917 gegründet worden und stellt seit 1921 Motorräder her. Bis 1984 gehörte die Firma zu den größten deutschen Motorradherstellern mit bis zu 1800 Mitarbeitern und war Teil der Nürnberger Motorradindustrie. Später wurde Zündapp komplett nach China verkauft.

Die Bremsstange überträgt die Kraft des Bremspedals auf den Bremshebel der Trommelbremse im Hinterrad. Dadurch kommt das Fahrzeug zum Stehen. Das sogenannte "Neue Modell" ist passend für die Zündapp Modelle KS80, C 50, GTS 50 und KS 50 ab dem Baujahr 1975. Das Gewinde am Ende der Stange ist ein M6.
