The Zündapp company history began on February 17, 1917 when Fritz Neumeyer founded the Zünder und Apparatebau GmbH together with two other entrepreneurs. However, it took another 4 years before the first moped/motorcycle was produced, as the 1800 workers were first assigned to manufacture artillery fuzes for the armaments industry. After this company was also hit by the crisis in the motorcycle industry, Zündapp went into insolvency in 1984 after an economic ups and downs.

This locking plate is installed in front of the wing nut on the rear part of the brake rod. It is suitable for the Zündapp two-wheelers KS 50, C 50 and GTs 50 (type 517, 529).
