In 1895, Ernst Sachs and Karl Fichtel founded the "Schweinfurter Präcisions-Kugellagerwerke Fichtel & Sachs". Before the First World War, F&S was already considered a leading company for ball bearings and bicycle hubs. In the 1930s, the company then aimed to produce clutches, shock absorbers and small engines. The first Sachs engine, ready for series production, impressed with its reliability and was therefore installed by many two-wheeler manufacturers in their models.

The kick starter rubber is mounted on the kick starter pedal by simply slipping it on. The rubber ensures a safe stand when operating the kickstarter.
