Die Geschichte von Puch begann 1889 als sich Johann Puch seinen Traum erfüllt und eine eigene Werkstatt für Fahrräder eröffnet. Bekannt wurde bzw. ist die Marke Puch aber immer noch durch seine Mofas, Mopeds und Mokicks. Bereits die ersten gebauten Modelle wurden ein voller Erfolg. Am bekanntesten ist heute wahrscheinlich die Puch "Maxi", welche von 1969 bis 1995 gebaut wurde.
Der Vergaser ist für die Bildung des Kraftstoff-Luft-Gemisches verantwortlich. Er erzeugt ein verbrennungsfähiges Gemisch, welches dann in den Brennraum des Motors geleitet wird. Im Vergaser befindet sich auch das Drosselorgan, mit dem die Leistung und damit auch das Drehmoment geregelt wird.
