Die Zündapp Z 22 wurde bis 1924 sehr erfolgreich verkauft und die Produktionsmenge konnte stetig gesteigert werden. Die Geschichte von Zündapp reicht bis ins Jahr 1984, indem das Unternehmen Insolvenz anmelden musste und damit das Aus besiegelt wurde.
