Abil®N is based on NBR-bonded cellulose fibers. The gasket material has good dimensional stability.

Abil®N is mainly used for sealing against hot and cold oils, greases, fuels and cooling water with corrosion and antifreeze additives. Typical applications are control housings, gearboxes, valve covers, oil pans, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, chemical apparatus, pumps and compressors.

- Pressure resistance (50 N/mm2, 16 h/100 °C): ≥45 N/mm2
Media resistance
- ASTM Oil No. 3 (5 h/150 °C): ≤5% increase in thickness, ≤55% increase in weight
- ASTM fuel B (5 h/23 ± 2 °C): ≤5% thickness increase, ≤55% weight increase
- Water - glycol (1:1, 5 h Rf): ≤40% thickness increase, ≤120% weight increase
