SCOOTERS - BEARINGS & BEARING SETS

The crankshaft bearing should be replaced at the same time as the crankshaft, as this is also subject to high loads and the wear is therefore very high. The bearings are usually marked with C3, C4 or C5. These values indicate the load capacity of the crankshaft bearing. The higher the value, the higher it can be loaded. In most scooters, bearings of level C3 are installed ex works. Most aftermarket bearings are also C3. Crankshaft bearings with level C4 are approved for high speeds and must be installed when using racing cylinders. For high-end racing use on race tracks, crankshaft bearings of grade C5, such as those available from Malossi, are recommended.
