Die Nürnberger Hercules Werke waren ein großer Bestandteil der 1920er Motorradindustrie in Nürnberg. Das Unternehmen wurde von Karl Marschütz und seinem Bruder gegründet und stellte ab 1928 Zweiräder bis 200 ccm³ her. Dabei wurde in den Hercules Fahrwerken ein Motor von Fichtel & Sachs verbaut.

Dieses Gehäuse ist passend für Vergaser mit einem Durchlass von 8,5 mm bis 12 mm. Es schützt den Luftfilter und sorgt dafür, dass die angesaugte Luft durch das Filtermaterial gezogen wird. Das Luftfiltergehäuse ist schwarz und besteht aus Kunststoff.
