A dirty stanchion is probably the least of your problems with leaking fork seals. Worse is an impairment of the damping, which could result in a deterioration of the road holding. The dust caps seal the stand pipe with the help of a sealing lip. This sealing lip is flexible and has a slightly smaller diameter to fit directly to the standpipe. In addition, a spring ensures an even firmer and perfect hold. A second spring also provides an even better seal for the Simmerring.
This fork oil seals and dust cap set is suitable for the vehicles of Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph and Yamaha. The inner and outer diameter of the dust caps is 43mm and 59mm. 55mm is the press-in diameter. The Simmerrings have the dimensions 43x55x9.5mm (inner diameter x outer diameter x depth/width/height).
Watch out! When replacing the radial shaft seals, we recommend always replacing them on both sides.
