Die Traditionsmarke Zündapp stellte von 1921 bis 1984 Mopeds bzw. Motorräder her und war einst der erfolgreichste Motorradhersteller Nürnbergs. Im Jahre 1984 ging das Unternehmen, aufgrund der Krise in der Motorradindustrie in Konkurs. Dennoch ist Zündapp nicht komplett von der Bildfläche verschwunden. Viele Zündapp-Freunde organisieren sich in Clubs und halten somit den Mythos "Zündapp" in Ehren.
Der Zylinder ist wohl eines der wichtigsten Bauteile des Fahrzeuges. In ihm findet der komplette Verbrennungsprozess statt. Der Zylinder hat eine Hubraum von 50 ccm und ist aus Aluminium gefertigt. Geeignet ist das Kit für die Modelle KS 50 WC und KS 50 tt.
