The Velozipedfabrik Carl Marschütz & Co. respectively the Hercules Werke was one of the big German manufacturers for mopeds, mokicks and mopeds up to 200 ccm³. In the period from 1928 to the 1990s Hercules produced motorized two-wheelers with foreign engines from Fichtel & Sachs.

Brake shoes are probably the most typical of all wearing parts on your Hercules. They are pressed from the inside against a rotating drum and thus brake the vehicle. Due to the resulting friction, the lining on the brake shoes becomes less. When the brake pads have reached their wear limit they should be replaced at the latest. This brake shoe set has a dimension of 140x24 mm.
