Die Nürnberger Hercules Werke waren ein wesentlicher Bestandteil der Nürnberger Motorradindustrie. Die Motorradproduktion begann aber erst im Jahre 1928, also 42 Jahre nach Gründung des Unternehmens durch Carl Marschütz. Auch durch die Zusammenarbeit mit Fichtel & Sachs als Motorenlieferant, etablierte sich Hercules im Marktsegment der leichten Motorräder bis 200 cm³ und Fahrräder mit Hilfsmotor.
Die Tretkurbelachse ist die Verbindung zwischen Pedalen und Getriebe. Durch das Starterrad, welches auf der Welle montiert ist, wird das Getriebe bzw. die Kurbelwelle angetrieben und auf die zum Start benötigte Drehzahl gebracht. Hier erhalten Sie eine Tretwelle inklusive Starterrad, Bremsfeder und Startmitnehmer. Passend ist diese Achse für die Sachs Motortypen 505/1 und 505/2.
