The float consists of a plastic housing with a metal hinge. It is installed centrally in the float housing and arranged in a ring around the main jet. The float's job is to keep the fuel level in the chamber constant. Once the prescribed height has been reached, the pin mounted on the float is raised so far that the float needle closes the inlet valve.
