Zündapp Werke was founded in 1917 by Fitz Neumeyer and was designed for the production of armaments. In 1921, however, Neumeyer discovered a gap in the market for automobiles and motorcycles. He built an inexpensive utility motorcycle for "everyone". The Zündapp Z 22 was sold very successfully until 1924 and the production volume was steadily increased. The history of Zündapp goes back to 1984, when the company had to file for insolvency, sealing its end.

The intake rubber or in this case also called bellows is the connecting piece between carburetor and air filter.
