DESCRIPTION:
The spark plug consists of a metal core encased in a ceramic insulator. This metal core is in turn surrounded by a metal jacket. The metal jacket consists of a thread, which is turned into the cylinder head. There has hardly been any change in this basic design of the spark plug over the last 50 years.
