The Nuremberg Hercules Werke was an essential part of the Nuremberg motorcycle industry. However, motorcycle production did not begin until 1928, 42 years after Carl Marschütz founded the company. Also through the cooperation with Fichtel & Sachs as engine supplier, Hercules established itself in the market segment of light motorcycles up to 200 cm³ and bicycles with auxiliary engine.
Here you will find a large inspection set for your Sachs 505 2-speed engine. The set is suitable for various mopeds such as Hercules Prima 3 5, HR Hobby Rider, Jogging, or Optima. Included in the set is a new spark plug cap and a new spark plug to prevent misfires. Furthermore, the transmission oil can be replaced or refilled. For this you also get a new oil check screw and a new clutch cover gasket. The next item on the inspection list is the fuel supply. With this set you can renew the two seals of the carburetor and thus avoid that false air is drawn. To prevent dirty fuel from getting into the carburetor from the gas tank, a new fuel filter and fuel hose are recommended. Finally, the engine can be cleaned from the outside with the help of brake cleaner.
