Die Velozipedfabrik Carl Marschütz & Co. bzw. die Hercules Werke war einer der großen deutschen Hersteller für Mopeds, Mokicks und Mofas bis 200 ccm³. In der Zeit von 1928 bis zu den 1990er Jahren produzierte Hercules motorisierte Zweiräder mit Fremdmotoren von Fichtel & Sachs.

Die Kupplungsgrundplatte ist Träger für die Federnäpfe bzw. die Kupplungsfedern. Sie wird über den Kupplungslamellen montiert und hat einen Außendurchmesser von ca. 90 mm.
