The Nuremberg Hercules factories were an essential part of the Nuremberg motorcycle industry. However, motorcycle production only began in 1928, 42 years after Carl Marschütz founded the company. Also through the cooperation with Fichtel & Sachs as an engine supplier, Hercules established itself in the market segment of light motorcycles up to 200 cm³ and bicycles with auxiliary engines.

This piston set is suitable for the Sachs 506 engines with a displacement of 50ccm and a cylinder bore of 38mm. The set contains all parts needed to replace the piston (including seals and needle bearings). The piston changes the volume in a closed cavity by its up and down movement. In internal combustion engines, the gasoline-air mixture is compressed in the cylinder and caused to explode. The piston is connected to the crankshaft with the piston pin (12mm) included in the set. The piston is equipped with a ring and thus ensures less wear.
