DESCRIPTION:
presto Underbody Protection Bitumen forms a viscoplastic, durable sealant on the underside of machines and vehicles and wheel housings of all types of motor vehicles. Underbodies are protected against mechanical and chemical stresses such as stone chips, road salt, water, rust and weathering. The thixotropic properties of presto Underbody Protection allow the application in thick layers without runner formation.

Areas of application: Car body, workshop, bus construction, home & hobby.

- Base: bitumen, solvent and foaming agent

- Salt spray test (DIN 50021): 1000 h without rust infiltration at 400µ dry film thickness; up to 480 h without rust infiltration at 200µ dry film thickness
- Temperature resistance: -25°C to +80°C
- Application temperature: +5°C - +30°C, optimum results at room temperature
- Drying times (20°C, 65% humidity): Dust dry after approx. 1 1/2 h; completely dry after approx. 2 1/2 h with aerosol.The drying time depends on the ambient temperature, humidity and the applied film thickness.
- Shelf life/storage: 10 years if stored properly (=10°-25°C, relative humidity of max. 60%).
