Hercules is probably a well-known name to every classic car two-wheeler owner. The company was founded in 1886 by Carl Marschütz and produced bicycles until 1928. It was not until 1928 that the production of light motorcycles under 200 cccm³ was worthwhile again. Since this time the Hercules factories have been using foreign motors from Fichtel & Sachs.
This tuning piston set is suitable for the Sachs engines 504 and 505 with a displacement of 50ccm and a cylinder bore of 38mm. The set contains all parts needed to replace the piston (incl. seals and needle bearings). The piston changes the volume in a closed cavity by its up and down movements. In internal combustion engines, the gasoline-air mixture is compressed in the cylinder and caused to explode. The piston is connected to the crankshaft with the piston pin / needle bearing included in the set. This tuning piston is equipped with a ring and thus ensures less wear.
