Die Zündapp-Werke GmbH wurde 1916 von Fritz Ludwig Neumeyer unter dem Namen ZÜNDer-APParatebau-Gesellschaft mbH gegründet. Seit 1921 ist das Unternehmen im Motorradbau und Motorbau vertreten.
